Melanie began her journey in mental health as a behavioural therapist for two years, supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents in emotional and behavioural regulation and everyday functioning. This experience inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, during which she trained in both private and government settings and supported clients across the lifespan from diverse cultural backgrounds. It continues to guide her compassionate, developmentally attuned work with children, adolescents, and their families.

She provides psychological assessments for children and adolescents, including evaluations of emotional, behavioural, and cognitive functioning, as well as neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She helps parents and caregivers understand their child’s strengths and challenges, translating assessment findings into practical, actionable recommendations. She also supports children and adolescents with developmental and behavioural challenges, including impulse control, emotional regulation, and behavioural adjustment struggles.

In addition, Melanie works with adults, primarily drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to support them in developing practical tools and gaining deeper insights into their challenges, tailoring each approach to their individual strengths, needs, and goals. She has experience supporting individuals with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, personality disorders, PTSD, and suicidal self-harm, as well as assisting with life transitions, academic or work stress, and emotional regulation challenges.

Melanie aims to walk alongside her clients as a collaborative guide, fostering clarity, growth, and adaptive skills at a pace that respects their autonomy and values.
